"A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path."

                                                                                                              -- Agatha Christie

Bhishma said (Santi Parva: Mokshadharma Parva):- “The mother is the panacea for all kinds of    calamities. The existence of the mother invests one with protection; the reverse deprives one of all protection”.

Motherhood is the most amazing career that a woman can have. This is the only instance where both pleasure and pain work in unison. Before the childbirth, the lady was a woman. After the childbirth, the woman is transformed into a mother. This is an evolutionary happening; in the manner of the silkworm getting transformed into some winged angel.

The act of giving birth is the only moment when both pain and pleasure converge in a moment of time. It is in the manner of the sharp point of a needle, astride upon that point are both pleasure and pain, simultaneously assailing the female that is undergoing the miracle of childbirth.

Pregnancy is an amazing feeling of carrying a child inside of her is the beginning of a true love as you have never known it. This is when you learn about giving of yourself more than you have ever given before. This wonderful feeling occurs more intensely as the pregnancy progresses.

The woman begins to feel the little life inside her fluttering around. She is amazed that she could be part of creating something so tiny and helpless.
When a new mother holds her first born child in her arms, many emotions well up inside her. Little eyes looking up at mother with his/her tiny fingers wrapped tightly around her finger, mother falls for someone harder and faster than she has ever fallen before.
